Welcome to Sharkathon.com. This site is focused on catch and release shark fishing on Padre Island National Seashore. We are now in our sixth year of operation, having completed our fifth tournament in October 2008. We had 400 participants last year.

In 2007 we donated $1500.00 from the proceeds of our raffle sales to the Padre Island National Seashore and we are looking forward to a year of continued support from the Park. 

In 2006 we donated $1000.00 to the park to fund a park watch program. Please take a look at last year's letter from the Park here.
