Prices for Sharkathon 2009 are going to stay the same as last year, there will most likely be a rise in prices next year but they will stay the same for this year’s event. Online registration will be opening on August 5th 2009.
Here is a list of entry fees:
Grand Slam $180 (Shark/Redfish/Trout/Tarpon)
Shark Division $75
Redfish Division $40
Trout Division $40
Tarpon Pot $25
Women’s Division $25
Kids Division $25
Raffle Tickets $5 each
Important information on the structure of the entries cap this year.
Shark Division + other division entries Max 350 entries
Non-Shark (Redfish/Trout/Tarpon) entries Max 150 entries
Women’s and kids divisions No Cap on entries
In order to keep non-shark entries from taking slots away from shark fishermen we have created the structure listed above. If the non-shark entries were to sell out and there were still shark division entries available the only way for someone to enter would be purchasing the shark division also. This keeps the focus and availability on shark fishing which is what this tournament is all about. The women’s and kids division will operate outside the cap with no restrictions since they are relatively a small amount of total entrants but will prevent them from taking spots away from the other divisions.
Make sure to get registered on the site or verify your membership info by logging in. To enter the online store for purchasing entries when it opens you will be required to be a registered user on the website and not just a newsletter subscriber.

Back up storm date reserved for October 23rd - 25th 2009 (in the event of the park being closed due to storm activity during the primary date)
